<<A new iPod... again!>>

I slept pretty well last night. I didn't seem terribly tired today. I got to work and was fine.

The president's son (PS) wanted to talk about something and suggested that we talk in the lunchroom. It seemed weird to talk privately in such an open area, but I agreed. The big crisis was that his stepmother's sister was having a birthday bash. She had let him know about it through an e-mail, a few days beforehand. It's on Saturday, which happens to be the same day that we'll be seeing a concert together.

I asked if he wanted to back out of the concert. I can always find someone who likes Elton John. He said that he wanted to go and insisted a number of times that he wouldn't tell his family who he was going out with. He feels that he has to explain his action all the time. I suggested that he just say he already has made plans and that this stepmother's aunt's invitation was on such short notice. That's all that needs to be said. I then suggested that he update his PDA to include everyone's birthdays.

The sales coordinator talked about how her eyesight is getting worse. She just came back from her eye appointment. She now needs a new pair of glasses when she works in front of her computer. She said she needed help selecting a pair of frames. I offered to help her out and suggested going to the place where the former compliance woman had got her reading glasses. So, we'll be doing that on Friday, after work.

The funniest thing today was hearing iPod boy (DJ) walk into work. He looked at butter girl and said, "Nice costume." It doesn't matter if it was Hallowe'en or not. She dresses in such a scary manner. It was funny, but it was at her expense. DJ asked me if I thought she was hurt by that. I didn't think so. She was indeed okay.

He asked me how the concert was. I told him it was great and said that the lead singer of Death Cab for Cutie had slipped, but kept on singing - such a trooper! I said that I saw the shirt that his daughter had purchased and went to describe the chocolate brown shirt I had purchased with the bird on the front. He asked if I had snapped pictures. I did. He said his daughter's photos didn't turn out well and was interested in seeing mine.

He had to use my camera for a work-related task. He gave my camera back to me, so that I could send him the two pictures. He respects my privacy, which is cool. Sadly, I had lost my footing and tripped over my garbage bin in my cubicle. Luckily, the cubicle wall supported me as I fell backward. I'm funny that way. It's all about the feet.

I said that I was thinking about getting the new iPod today. He thinks I should, because it's time for me to do so. He recommended that I photocopy the receipt, for the ink tends to fade over time.

In the afternoon, I burned him my photos of the concert last night. He then installed them on his computer and uploaded it to his iPod. We then watched a slideshow of the pictures on his computer, with my pointing out when Ben had fallen and kept on going. He said that my photos turned out well. We both are avid photographers, although I'm still trying to get the hang of everything. We both agreed that having a tripod would be great, but you can't exactly bring that to a show.

I left work at around 17:15, which is mighty early for me. I waved and said goodnight to DJ, started up my car remotely, and drove down to Costco. The white 80 GB white iPod was still in stock. I lined up, played for my purchase, and got it from a friendly guy working in the locked cage area, where all the expensive electronics are. I'm a new iPod owner... again!

Needless to say, I got home and started to upload all my songs, videos, and such on my new iPod. It took roughly an hour to update, but I'm pleased with it. I can play Pac-man on it! Woo hoo!

I'm trailing in the office hockey pool. I am trying to pick up a goalie on waivers. I hope I get him. I had this goalie last year.

I watched some of my taped shows tonight. I'm so behind, for I've been out a few times this week.
